3/4/10 I just firmed up plans for our Salomon Snowboard customer demo on Sunday 3/7/10. It will be an awesome chance to get out and ride the new 2011 product line!!! Justen, the Salomon rep, will be there on hand along with myself. We will set up in the VIP parking area near K-1, along with several ski vendors. Hope to see you there!!! Vin
2/23/10 DUMPAGE!!! It's finally snowing up here. Over a foot and half and coming down super strong!!! We rallied yesterday with Pound, Clarke, my wife and myself, getting some of the goods mother nature dropped down on us!!!
02/10/10 Hello Ladies and Gentleman. As I see it today the conditions have come full circle since the last day I was out. We have been receiving a few inches of snow every day. This means that I found quite a few nice POWDER pockets out on Killington!! The weather has had resembled winter lately...Minus the copious amounts of snow most of you readers have been enjoying down south! Killington is looking good and the riding is top notch. I can't conjure up any excuses why you are not at, or in route, to Killington for the weekend. -Matty
02/07/2010 Today I was surprised to see such a crew of riders gathering here at Out of Bounds. The group consisted of many employees, ex-employees, good customers and good friends. Let’s say that this group was rolling about 12 people deep!!! I tried to get a picture, but of course the camera battery is DEAD. That seems to happen in most times of need and is followed by several words of anger... Anyway, The conditions today are of course EPIC! With plenty of terrain open and some good cruisers, you be getting your carve on today!
2/2/10 I believe it is supposed to be “Throw Back Thursday”, but I couldn’t wait to unveil these retro pictures from Killington. These pictures are all taken by our ex-employee Tim Zimmerman. I remember the day Tim got the phone call from Transworld Snowboarding asking him to come aboard as one of their stock photographers. Needless to say, he was super stoked and that position has lead him to achieve a lot of his personal goals...and take many killer shots from around the world. He has since been hired as Gnu and Libtech's personal photographer. Good Job Tim Zimmerman and we would love to see you back down in K-Town again! To check out his new stuff, just “Bing or Google” his name! -Matty
2/1/10 February is here…already?? What has happened to winter? Oh, wait it is still here! Today is one of the nicest days of the year. We have plenty of sunshine, temps in the 20’s and groomers that are lasting for miles and miles. There is something to be said about midweek skiing and riding, so if you can sneak out for a few turns; DO IT! -Matty
1/26/10 I just received this sick letter from our very good customer, Leslie Costa, loving her new Never Summer Lotus on her vacation in Whistler... so RAD!!!
1-2-10 The new Year is here and with it comes snow, snow and snow. We have accumulated about 6 inches so far. On tap for tonight is 6 inches and another 3-5 for Sunday...basic math says that can be a total of 17 inches! Oh LA LA, see you on the hill! OOB
12-24-09 Happy Holidays from all of us here at OOB!!!! You all ROCK!!! Vin
12-15-09 The state of Vermont: There is so much to say about this glorious state. Vermont's view on politics, Super troopers, and the weather. I believe I will speak only of the weather, in lieu of boring you to death with my take on other Vermont happenings. Yes the weather we have been having lately has been very reminiscent of last December. Here is what we have been having- Sporadic snow accumulation, Arctic Temperatures coupled with a sunny sky, socked in pea soup snow storm and 40 degree days with spotty snow showers. Ahh... I have to give Old Man winter some credit because we are still receiving snow about every day. This all adds up for an awesome on the trails and in the woods. Conditions are great and there are good times to be had. See you on the hill. - Matty
12-8-09 So...WOW, what a wild November it has been. We received many inches of snow and rain. I guess it is safe to say that we encountered Vermont's four seasons in one month and we kind of enjoyed it. Although, WINTER IS BACK, BOO YA! Today Vin is heading out with his Wife, Kristin to go make some turns in the sun filled sky mixed with silver flurries. I bet you have heard that our first winter storm is on its way... it should add up to a good eight inches. This will help add to the base in the woods and on the trails that need some love. We will start to release our brand spanking new demo boards this upcoming weekend. This means get out and try the technologies from Salomon, Ride, Nitro and Never Summer. Give us a call if you have any questions about our Demo program 802.422.8778 See you on the hill!
11-16-09 A week has passed since I last updated the site, but it only feels like hours to me. We have been very busy here at Out of Bounds. Killington was open this past weekend with the same 4 trails and two lifts. Saturday was a bit of a washout and Sunday was a typical late April day...not November! The Farmers Almanac says that the colder weather is due back around Thanksgiving and should stay for the winter. There are still many fun things to do up here even when Killington is not open: Mountain Biking- We have bike rentals and you don't sweat as much as much as you do in the summer Hiking- With the leaves down; the views are incredible! Fishing- The bass are feeding like crazy with the water getting colder Hunting- Rifle Season just started Time Out- This is a good time to get away from the city and just relax -Matty 11-09-09 3:00pm Right now it is 68 degrees and sunny, reminiscent of this past summer... not what we were expecting for the beginning of November!! Killington is now closed until weather permits them to open again. On a good note the riding was awesome this past weekend. I was able to make it out for an afternoon session yesterday, and it was a sweet thing. I enjoyed ripping Great Northern to Chute, as well as many runs on Rhyme and Reason. Too bad [said with a sad face] the mountain is closed right now. So folks pray for snow and come check out all the new product in the store! -Matty 11-07-09 9:00am KILLINGTON OPENS TODAY!!!!!! That is right, today is Killington's opening day and I am sure we will be seeing a lot of our regular customers this weekend (most of them have already stopped in last night.) They will be opening with top to bottom advanced/intermediate terrain only. They will also have a early season terrain park open on Reason-JIB ON! Stop by the shop and see us. Don't forget to tune your board! See you on the hill. -Matty
9-22-09 I just returned from my little 3 week trip to British Columbia. The riding was absolutely insane this year! I was lucky enough to find a few locals to give me the goods on where to ride and where to find some big, fun stuff. All and all it was a blast and I am ready to start back here at the store and get ready for the snow season. Here is a little Vid from my trip... I hope you enjoy!!!

9-20-09 9:30pm So summer has gone and fall has appeared! Temperatures have been dipping into the 30's at night, but getting up into the 60's in the day...a perfect fall! Needless to say, it is a great precursor for an awesome winter. The foliage is also starting to turn. Here at Out of Bounds we have so much new gear from Salomon, Ride, Never Summer, Nitro for hard goods. Ride, Cappel, Bonfire, 686, and coal in the store now! Come on up and take a peak at the new stuff... you won't be disappointed! -Matty
